When mixing components creates a masterpiece

Trends come and go in many industries, none more so than the kitchen industry. When it comes to ‘setting the bar’ and creating a new look, the kitchen design-sector is renowned for it. Monochrome, industrial, urban and contemporary to name but a few that have recently graced the shows in Italy and Germany.

Recreating a design takes flair, talent, nerve and a massive amount of trust in your team.

Sometimes it’s a design disaster!

Other times it’s a breathtaking creation which has that particular combination right to create a masterpiece!

The whole house was a significant project for Mr Chambers. Not something he had always dreamed of doing, but kind of fell into by accident.

Purchasing the right home was paramount. This happened in April 2019, and so work began. Every room needed renovating in some way or another. A real task which required right expert guidance and a helping hand.

After a few trips to various kitchen retailers (without success) leaving Mr Chambers a little despondent. As luck should have it, a children’s party introduced KAM Design to him by way of recommendation and seeing an actual project finished. A suggestion is always good, especially when you can see the workmanship – It was time to pay us a visit!

Liking the look of the kitchen he’d seen at the party, this gave Mr Chambers a starting point. Carol set to work and came up with various plans and design ideas. Removing a wall and opening up the room gave Carol plenty of space to work with. After various meeting and discussions, the fit took place in August 2019.

My first impressions on seeing the kitchen were how well thought out, and functional the design is. Cooking within this room Mr Chambers enthused is an absolute delight. The Burbidge Langton in-frame door painted in soft grey and seal grey, teamed with oak effect bespoke cabinetry. The mixed array of metals including tiles, door furniture and accessories gives this kitchen a real industrial twist. Whoever said that traditional cannot be mixed with industrial? The sumptuous oak Chefs pantry with internal drawers and spice racks is perfectly positioned within the bank. Double height classic style cornice to keep the style flow of the original house character. Curved doors and t&g panelling again brings back the traditional feel.

The false chimney breast constructed by our fitters has both modern and traditional married up seamlessly. Apparently, a trip to the local pub inspired the tile choice! Inspiration is all around us; you’ve just got to trust your judgement.

Neff appliances feature throughout the kitchen to include the full steam oven and pyro (self-clean) oven.

Positioned side by side to mimic the traditional range look. All integrated appliances are cleverly hidden. A tall fridge, tall freezer, dishwasher and so not to spoil the look the microwave is set into the base unit in the island neatly tucked away. No kitchen is complete without the classic chrome Quooker tap nestled between the double Belfast sink.

A real pleasure to behold visiting this property. A huge congratulations to Mr Chambers on finishing the full property in record time – a true masterpiece, enabling the family to move in for Christmas!! Thank you so much for letting us showcase the finished product! I’ve got to say apart from the apparent splendid kitchen with all its character and quirks that you’ve painstakingly chosen to make it your stamp! My favourite part is the wine cellar! Being a red wine drinker, it was like a short glimpse of the masterpiece that is Mecca in all its glory!
