Sleek and simple, bright and airy
Our clients are a married couple in their late 50’s with two grown-up children and were intending to add to their family (golden retriever puppy!).
They both run their own businesses from home as well as doing volunteering work for a local hospice. They had previously been to another local supplier but after speaking to an architect friend, they were recommended to come to us.
Their existing kitchen was a cherry-wood shaker-style with black granite which was looking a bit tired.
In Nov 2019, the clients were about to commence a contemporary rear extension and garage conversion that already had planning permission. They wanted to install a utility room in their converted garage first, so that they could then use this whilst the kitchen was out-of-action.
They wanted a sleek & simple style, handle-less, bright & light airy feel. The wish-list included a pantry-type cupboard to hide the toaster & coffeemaker, a good number of drawers, at least one oven & combi micro-wave & warming drawer, possibly an extra oven.
They liked their existing American Fridge Freezer rather than integrated. They wanted either the hob or sink on the island, not both. The floor would be a light grey stone effect. Following a showroom visit, the clients fell in love with the matt organic finish and liked the combination of white with an accent of darker grey shades, inspired by one of our showrooms displays.
Our client was blown away with the finished article, and so are we. We think it looks amazing.
